I have been served coffee and Tahitian Treat in Over the Water Bungalows at Intercontinental Tahiti, St. Regis Bora Bora and Hilton Moorea. This has been an amazing 9 days. Easy non stop 8 hour flight from LAX on Air Tahiti Nui. The people have been very nice. Food has been great. French Polynesia is VERY expensive because most things are imported. A burger can run you $35.00 at World Famous Bloody Mary’s. So please plan accordingly. You can leave all of your designer wears at home cause nobody cares over here. The only Gucci I saw were on my toes. Wear lightweight clothes and flip flops. Some of the bluest water you will ever see. And a lot of it is less than 9ft so easy to stand up in. Great for water lovers. This is NOT a turn up destination. You come to Tahiti to relax, release and rejuvenate.
-Snorkeled with sharks and sting rays in Bora Bora
-hung out on a private beach in Ta’haa
-did a scenic tour in untouched Moorea
-shopped in Papeete for Polynesian wears, black pearls and perfume
Have to be vaxxed. On the smaller islands it may be a small hospital and 2 doctors.
Covid PCR required within 48 hours of catching flight.
Antigen test required to return to the US with 24 hours.
This is a DREAM destination and worth every penny.
So, if Papeete, Bora Bora and Moorea are not on your life list…it should be! Whoop Whoop!!
